conduit seems to have taken over my search engine

Conduit has taken over my search engine on my windows7 computer....anyone have any idea how to get rid of this? Could it be a toolbar it's hiding in? can't find it anywhere when i do a search and it's not in my control panels remove programs. Any ideas anyone? have ads popping up all the time n my home page because of it also..any help would be much appreciated.V

I don't know for sure but if you have a good Task Manager like AnVir "FREE" you could track down the processes or services that are running and stop them from starting by putting them in quarantine AnVir will do that. or maybe this will help    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Fa7wXWKe0

You need remove it manually by going into your browser setting. First remove it from control panel then remove from ( options/application ) for firefox and ( tool/extension) for chrome .
