enforceFIPSPolicy ?

Trying to find some official technical information regarding the herdProtectScanCmd.exe.config file, specifically the enforceFIPSPolicy setting.

Can anyone provide some detailed technical information regarding the capabilities of the config file ?

It determines if the app will enforce FIPS compliance.

"Specifies whether to enforce a computer configuration requirement that cryptographic algorithms must comply with the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)."

Thanks JohnS. I appreciate the link to explain FIPS for those who are not aware of it but my question was with regards to the setting in the context of HerdProtect. i.e. what data is being protected and during which part of the process ? - Noxcivis 112 months ago
