A friend of mine has a computer that was almost impossible to use. Pop-ups, redirects etc. I downloaded Herdprotect and it scanned and was analyzing 3,126 modules. Is there a max number that can be analyzed? Just by my limited experience I can see where this might take hours to complete. Does anyone have any experience with a computer with this many problems?

Sorry for late response.
It depends, the machine speed is the great value, then how badly your computer is infected. Som malware take advantage of HDD usage as well as CPU so it may scan slower than ever. On a fast computer with regular malware on it, it will take no longer than 5 minutes.
